Best Practice S&OP Process

Is your supply chain performing well? Are your teams aligned and consistently delivering for your customers?

Are you confident that your inventory, production, warehousing and distribution costs are at an industry best practice level?

Its pretty common to find businesses where a lot of people are involved in the solution… but not everyone is pulling in the same direction.

Leading organisations have well planned and well managed supply chains. They do this of course to ensure on time delivery of projects and products, but also because it makes them much more profitable.

At the heart of a well managed supply chain is a well oiled Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) process.

An effective S&OP process allows us to…

    • Align our internal teams so that everyone’s operating to the same plan that delivers success for our customers
    • Achieve dramatically better cost performance of our inventory, staffing, production, warehousing and distribution
    • Reliably match our purchases to our production requirements to our customer demand
    • Right size our technology so that we’re not over investing in software and under investing in process

Also a well managed and effective supply chain is a critical success factor for businesses that are looking to grow from small to medium or from medium to large.

In this LIVE webinar session we will cover…

    • Your inventory, warehousing and distribution costs are not even close to an industry best practice level
    • Further sales growth would stress the system and just “add to the chaos”

    Testimonials from other event attendees

Good summary on value add vs non-value add process steps and the message about waste reduction being the key. I really I liked the way that lead time was split by activity and also the rebalancing of tasks to reduce lead times. In terms of application to my organisation, it was a good reminder to be strategic and lock away time to improve the way the company operates. I’d recommend other to attend as these ideas can be adopted by both goods and services organisations to find value in the supply chain.

The session was a great refresher and one key takeaway was the importance of always seeking to understand what customers want the most i.e. customer value. It provided me with the opportunity to reflect on what my customers seek and/or expect from our team and our services. Also the point around value adding vs. wasteful steps in a process. It was surprising to note that, on average, only 5% of a process is value add. I would definitely recommend future OE Partners Masterclass events to colleagues and friends.

It was an excellent session hitting all the right key points possible within the time balancing of the session. It was a perfect introduction and importantly the focus was on BI and CI opportunities. I found the reminder on the value of the Kano model and the link to customer value most interesting. I’d highly recommend others attend future OE Partners events
